Solotti's Ice-cream Bike
A frosty calm morning, and glorious sunshine. It clouded over in the afternoon, with some showers, and a breeze tonight.
A glorious morning to be alive, and half of Lerwick were just finishing partying, and heading to bed, as I arrived to work at the museum. A quiet morning to start, as expected, but it picked up in the afternoon. Been to see Madeline in hospital after work. Some walkies with Sammy this evening, and then off to work in the pub later.
It sounds like last night's party was a spree. As I arrived to work, the party was finishing for most, but a few odd characters dressed up and roaming the streets. Headed out at lunchtime, fewer around, and then I came across this pair. Their squad must have been about the old Solotti's ice-cream bike that used to go around town in the 1950s - 70s, with seller George Batty. Billy Buggy on left, and Grant Redfern on right, with Connor the goat photo bombing. Taken at the Market Cross, Lerwick.
