Looking down

Looking down from the top of the staircase in the Mackintosh Tower of the Lighthouse in Glasgow. The tower was built in 1895, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and was part of a building for the Glasgow Herald newspaper.

Apparently this is a helical staircase, meaning the curve is C shaped rather than a perfect circle. It also has no central column.
