Haggis and mince

Excellent evening out at a Burns night. But why oh why does our best hotel insist on giving you mince with your haggis, neeps and tatties ? I must say it made my plate looked a bit school dinnerish, although this year there was at least plenty food - in past events we've had starvation rations.
