Beach in a bottle

Mr G is finally feeling better and even got up and did some work. I am so grateful for that! I think it must have been a viral infection that attacked him.

I started my day early as I had many things to do. First on the list was sorting washing. Then it was off to the library in search of different versions of The Gingerbread Man. Not much luck there even after visiting a second library. The last job for the morning was to collect my boy's new passports at the home affairs office.

We have had nearly constant rain since Thursday evening. Today was no different. It is cool and refreshing and I sat for the rest of the day and evening at my computer continuing my lesson preparation, creating assessment record sheets and a few other odds and ends. As you can see I really would prefer to be on the beach!

Today is my best friend's birthday. She lives in Vancouver, Canada and its days like this that I realise just how much I miss her!


Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know they're always there!
