Tree Ferns
I took myself for a drive through the Yarra Valley today but it wasn’t through areas that I had visited before. My host Sue suggested that I take a drive through to Warburton to see the giant Mountain Ash. It was a truly spectacular drive. The mountain ash were glorious but so were the Tree Ferns. I have never seen Tree Ferns like them in my life. They were gigantic and SO green. A large percentage of the drive was on a very narrow winding gravel road with a sheer drop on one side and I have to confess that I felt quite terrified at times. I can’t imagine what I would have done if another car had been coming the other way. The only time it happened was right towards the end and I had a chance to reverse back to the corner.......phew!!
I’ll be heading home tomorrow and won’t be doing 700 km on my first day that’s for sure. It will be two fairly even days of driving this time round.
