Golden ringed dragon fly?

Perhaps....although it does seem to be lacking in rings, more of a golden spotted dragonfly.
Picked up my hire car today so that was exciting, first time I have hired a car and first time I have driven an automatic but it all seemed to go smoothly. Not, however, the first time I have picked up a hitchhiker and this one was from Langholm in the Borders so he was good company for part of my journey.
Made my way to Te Anau for, yep some hiking and camping but this time with the luxury of my own car to put my food bag on, safely out of the way of those pesky mice. Tonight I am in the YHA which seems pretty luxurious in comparison to the other hostels I have been in. We have a ladies dorm, really wide beds and proper sharp knives in the kitchen and I even had some food to chop up as I have done a big supermarket shop for the first time since leaving home. I dare say it sounds a bit boring but it was, in fact, really exciting!
Stopped to buy some cherries from a guy on the side of the road who offered to take me deer hunting? Almost as weird as being asked if I ran up Ben Lomond, not sure quite what I must be coming across as but not to worry.
