5 Mile Bay

Went for a drive to Taupo today. It was a hot and sunny day - can't complain really..

After looking around town for a couple of hours we stopped off at 5 mile bay for a little bit and watched Gabby throw stones into the lake.

Love this spot. On a clear day like today you can see the volcanic trio - Mt Ruapehu, Mt Ngaurahoe, and offcourse Mt Tongariro which looks like is still steaming or venting after its last eruption only a few weeks ago..
