In my head
I thought
that if I picked an interesting location
and aimed light at it
it would turn out well
I picked an interesting location
aimed light at it
and realized 
I had no idea what I was doing!

But you have to practice or you won't learn.
This shot was actually SW's idea and she gave me permission to post it.
I set everything up ahead of time so she only spent a couple of minutes outside with me, I certainly don't need to get her fired.
Now I have tried the lights on an actual human being.
Next time to try modifiers.
