Why does a hole appear in the roof only when it is wet and windy.One of the tunnel sheets has developed three bad splits right along the ridge.With gales forecast for tonight it was important to get them fixed.We have very heavy duty tape for such repairs but the polythene has to be dry and it wasn't so it was a slow job.

Setting off for Birmingham at 5.30am this morning there was snow on the van windscreen and parts of the motorway was very slushy.Probably used a good gallon of screen wash trying to keep the screen clear.

Nothing more to say this evening.Time for a hot bath, floating candles and whale song followed by an early night.
