Why do cows wear bells?

Today I went for a walk up the South West face of the Campsie Hills above Strathblane to have a close-up look at a frozen waterfall high up near the ridge. On the way there I came across a herd of Highland Cows all enjoying some winter sunshine. The waterfall was impressive but in the end I opted for this horny picture.

In other news, I made the terrible error of attending a work party tonight and not drinking alcohol. I had to make my excuses and leave early-ish. There's only so much Diet Coke I can consume.
