Chirping Stopped

Fortunately the store was open and a new smoke detector was purchased and installed. Poor Leia was in distress over the high pitched chirp. When the old detector was removed, the little notice on the side said "replace in 2017". The new one says "replace in 2031". I wonder if we will still be living here.
