If Birds Fly....

So it was a tad breezy today, but not quite so breezy as it had been at 5 this morning.

I awoke suddenly,  thinking it was "my age" requirements for the loo - but no, there was a definite bang.

I got up and went for a wee look see, and almost cried when I saw that our "paper and cardboard bin" had blown over and some magazines, envelopes and cereal boxes were blowing merrily down the road.

I grabbed Si's dressing gown stuck on my shoes and headed off after the bits, and set it up again.

I had been back in bed about thirty minutes, when there was another earth shattering clatter.

I looked out again, and this time it had managed to roll onto the road and then tip over.

Paper was merrily blowing it's way down the road  loads of it, loads of it..

Dressing gown back on, shoes back on ...and off down the road I wandered.  Well I ran actually, which couldn't have been nice for the neighbours had they been looking out.  Dressing gown flapping... boobs bouncing... buttocks all over the place.

I had to go into three different gardens and pull stuff out... Of course our name and address was all over the envelopes and brochures I hadn't bothered opening. ... ARGHHHHHHHH

Still I made it back to bed by 5.40 and slept for another hour.... once I had calmed down and stopped coughing.

Damn you wind.

At least it wasnt raining... and I saw a shooting star.   So it wasn't all bad.
