Ring-billed Gull ....

We wanted to get out so that I could play with the new camera today so we ended up at a couple of places.

Our first destination was the waterfowl observation area we like for the large variety of water birds.  When we first pulled up I spotted this Ring-billed gull on the fence and took a couple of pictures from the car.  I love gulls!

We stayed here for a bit taking pictures of the gulls, ducks and geese.  And then we drove to Plainfield Rail Trail for an actual walk and to see if any chipmunks were up out of their burrows.  We put out some nuts and seeds and then walked up the trail.  There were lots of people on the trail today as the weather wasn't too bad .... much better than yesterday's rain. I may go back up to the trail on Tuesday with the macro lens as I spotted some interesting things that would be good for Tiny Tuesday .... it depends on the weather. 

We made a quick stop on the way home to pick up some cracked corn for our birds and then we were home for the rest of the day. 

And that brings another weekend to a close.
