Through the octagonal window
Actually this is a key hole in the main double doors that lead into the walled garden area of Norris Castle Farm (https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1223182)
Built c1799 it’s part of Norris Castle (https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1000927) that’s a bit further down the road. The castle was acquired about 4-5 years ago with a view to converting it into a luxury hotel. Given its views out over the Solent towards Portsmouth it will be an amazing place to come stay.
Not sure what will happen to the farm whether it was part of the sale. It would make for a great addition to the main castle hotel if it could be brought back as a working farm that grows produce for the hotel kitchens.
Will keep an eye on this one as it might make for a nice break away for a special occasion.
