Crewdson: An homage/pastiche

In The Doll's House showcases Callumpix at his most deliberately cinematic, a highly theatrical, surreal snapshot of life in an anonymous Scottish Doll's House bought from Asda at a knock down never to be repeated price.

An ordinary scene made disquieting by the creeping presence of the unexpected rabbit on the stairs.

Callumpix's images captures the artifice and doubled histories of these Chinese made hardboard sets, melancholy mixed with nostalgia and an overwhelming desperation not to take a photo of snow.

Callumpix's most intimate work to date, In The Doll's House depicts the flickr-ing traceries of Maglights as they illuminate the Winter afternoon, a quiet reflection on impermanence, light and the act of photographic navel gazing itself.
