Derelict Sunday
We drove part way to Macclesfield yesterday evening after my day trip to Durham and completed the journey this morning, in order to visit my 96-year-old Mum-in-law in her care home. (The traffic on the A1 and M1 last night was amazingly quiet - it was an excellent time to travel.) A week past Monday she fell in her room and unfortunately fractured her right shoulder. The care home staff have been doing a great job of looking after her, and the only treatment recommended was a sling and painkillers. However my Editor (who also made an impromptu visit by train for a couple of days just after her injury) naturally wanted to check up on her again.
We're staying overnight and hope to return home tomorrow.
I've not had much time for taking photos, but as we drove through Glossop on our way here we spotted this building which we reckoned was a suitable subject for Derelict Sunday, hosted by Marlieske. I thought the "film noir" mono filter in Silverefex suited he scene best.
