Busy Sunday

Today started with taking my son to a swim session - but it wasn't his usual session. it was focused on technique and was one to one and it was absolutely brilliant. I had to drive him there and back in the bad weather so that wasn't much fun, but the session itself was good.

During the journey my son was on the lookout for wildlife and he was delighted to see so many Kites flying even two having a little ruckus! He also spotted some pheasants and squirrels. He also chatted to me about his plans for when he is older. His house is going to be full of animals - snakes, lizards, of course Taya the tortoise and he has a plan of how they would be in his house.

Then it was over to my sisters for her birthday celebration and the cake my son made went down a storm (see my blip yesterday)

Home and the usual things to get ready for the week ahead - school uniforms, homework, lunch boxes... all done before 7pm.. phew!! a little photo of Taya who enjoyed her bath this evening before we put her back in her cage for the evening.

We can spend a lot of time ruminating over the past - what we should have said, or done or perhaps wishing things have been different. But we cannot change the past - nor is there any point thinking over it too much. But we can be present, in every moment we remember to be. Be here for this moment, experience it entirely and fully and loosen the hold our past can have over us x
