I felt sorry for the woman who served me in the Apple Store. It was packed with people and despite air fragrancers there was still the slight whiff of unwashed teenager.

"No one's buying anything" she said in dismay. "They just come to play with the kit".

In some senses the Apple Store acts as a 'man creche'.
