Dawn
A dramatic sky this morning.
Went to a WEA lecture on Key Historical Influences on English Garden Design this afternoon in the village hall. It is part of a course of six lectures and so far we have been studying the early Italian, Spanish, French and Dutch gardens. The lecturer, a garden designer, is at present working with the National Trust at Barrington Court. My garden is a real challenge: clay soil so it is like toffee in the winter and concrete in the summer, and it is fully exposed to the elements being situated on the top of a hill - and the weeds love it!
