The key to collecting.

In 1926, Hall Engineering relocated to Shrewsbury, from Lancashire, bringing their " Chatwood Safe Company " with them.
 When I started my apprenticeship there, in 1969, they were a general engineering firm, but still did a little work on the safes.
  I was taught my skills by some terrific engineers, which set me up for life.
Sadly, the "Chatwood Works" , as it was always known, shut in 2003 and everything was cleared out.
  Always beady eyed, I spotted these old keys, ( as well as loads of other things .... another long story ! ) which pre-date 1956, as then, they became Chatwood Milner.
