Our kids obviously noticed the snow lying on the ground this morning, but they weren't able to actually do anything with them until quite late in the afternoon. They of course made the most of it, and must have made at least three snowmen before it got too dark for them to see.

One of those obstacles to their snow-based fun was an RSPB event that my wife wanted them to check out. This subject was demonstrating the tiny bone remains that can be found inside owl pellets. Which you can just about see, badly cropped out at the bottom of this picture.
