Icicles

The kids were out early this morning. I don't think they've ever got up and dressed so quickly on a Saturday before! With Mark away (he's skiing with his mates in Chamonix... my brownie points are growing by the day!!) it was up to me to entertain. So for the first hour of the morning, they had a snowball fight with our neighbours, whilst I stayed inside with a hot cup of tea... result!

Then we went out to meet my friend and her kids (she's also a skiing widow this weekend) and they spent more time playing snowball fights, before going for a hot chocolate... I think you can see a pattern emerging here! Anyway the day went quickly and Mark is back tomorrow night... as long as all of the money they've invested in Heathrow's snow ploughs work!

I took this shot first thing this morning. This bush is by our front door and above it is a leaking gutter. It really does show how cold it was last night!
