Seinfeld once quipped regarding the invention of the helmet something along the lines of "humans were engaging in a number of activities that were cracking our skulls, but instead of stopping doing skull cracking activity we invented the helmet".  Well Japan has a problem of spilling the soup while delivering several bowls noodles on a moped.  And, tadaaa!
