Close up
Playing, some would say faffing, with macro photography.
It started because Lidl had on offer a nice and cheap rotary tool set, similar to a Dremel. I've always wanted one, although I have no real need for it. With that, I modified an extension tube that allowed me to connect - in sequence - a teleconverter, the extension tube, my 60mm macro lens, and a close-up lens. The first object that came to hand as a test subject was this hex key. It's the size that fits a tripod plate.
The photo is a dozen images stacked using Photoshop. It didn't do a bad job, except that it muddied the lower edge, which is in shadow. I have cleaned that up, roughly. If you look closely, look somewhere else!
