Surprise birthday lunch

Friend, who had a significant birthday at the beginning of January thought she was going for a belated quiet meal with husband and cousin.  Instead she arrived to find 30 family and friends waiting to celebrate with her.  Weeks of secret phone calls (from husband in their loo!) and  e-mails etc from daughter, it all came together.  Her only regret was that she would have worn a posh frock if she had known.
I have not seen some of her family for over 20 years so it was a great catch up time.  They all recognised me and thought I hadn't changed (how kind!)
