Battenburg

I was challenged! I like a challenge, particularly a cooking/baking challenge. My new Mary Berry book had a Battenburg cake in, P saw it and challenged me!

Here it is on it's way to being a proper Battenburg cake.

Made originally to celebrate Queen Victoria's daughter's marriage to someone from Battenburg (I've forgotten who!) doncha know!
