It Started Down Under

Lost in the Woods

I didn't feel like going to Mt Dandenong this morning. But the moment I stepped out of bed I felt the energy to go through it anyway! Ignoring the fact that I didn't plan my timetable for this actual time of the day I got onto public transport. Arriving half an hour too early for the first bus in the right direction. Getting onto the right train and bus.

But I got off the last bus at a place I didn't originally plan on. But the bus driver adviced me to get off there. So I walked about an hour to get to the observatory viewpoint. It was beautiful and I could see the clouds hanging over the city. But while I was inside for a hot cup of chocolat, the clouds literally draped themselves over the forest. And it started pouring!

In the middle of this rainstorm I went outside and walked back to another bus stop. On the way I saw this deserted wedding place. It had an almost mystical atmosphere over it.

I waited at the bus stop for 1,5 hours!!! Then when I was prepared to start hitchhiking, finally the bus showed up. I was cold, wet, saw all birds that live around there, but finally I was on my bus. The entire way back home took me about 3,5 hours!

But I'm here and enjoyed my dinner and that's all that matters. Another great adventure to talk about once I am an old man.
