Oh for goodness' sake

One of the empty shops in the town centre was taken over by a temporary shop selling Christmas decorations. It lasted for a few days beyond Christmas,selling off the stock at half price,before finally closing its doors last week. Unfortunately I missed the final clearance,but the shopkeepers have left a little something in the window to remember them by. Sometimes I despair at this country.
