Small problem

Having worn contact lenses for over 40 years, I'm well settled in to my routines. In the morning, I put my lenses in straight out of the solution-filled case. At the end of the day, I wash the case out and refill it with solution before taking out my lenses and putting them in it.

For various reasons, today I wore my glasses all day and went to put in my lenses in the evening. My mind on other things, I picked up the case and washed it out... I was just starting to wash out the second compartment when I realised I'd washed the first lens down the sink - ARRGGH!! - but luckily I was able to save the second one. Feeling a little annoyed with myself...!
