New ball(s) please

Someone (not me) chose to display this less than pristine dog's toy on a gatepost in the meadows. At least it added a bit of colour to an increasingly dull day. The meadows are still ankle deep in mud or water or both, so the walk was tedious and boring. The highlight was spotting a pair of Little Egrets, but with only a 105mm. lens I was never close enough to get a useable image.
