Castlerigg Stone Circle...
...as painted by my late friend and fellow Morris dancer, Ken. To my delight, over 15 years ago this was a gift from Ken and his wife for a 'big' birthday. MrM and I need to decide which of our pictures will go up in the living room - since we finished decorating it, the walls have been bare. So far, only two have been picked as 'definite' - this, and one of Striding Edge (pure coincidence that they're both of places in the Lakes District).
ION: Singing, yoga and, in between, sorting out the fridge-freezer. Much to my horror, came back from singing to discover that the fridge-freezer had stopped working and some of the contents were on the edge of defrosting. Aaaargh! Luckily, MrM remembered that this happened several years ago. Then, on consulting t'internet, we discovered that a part in this particular freezer is prone to icing up, and the problem is easily solved by emptying the freezer and melting the ice in said part with the aid of a hairdryer. So, hurriedly packed most of the contents in to a coolbox, employed my hairdryer, and voila. Problem solved! Most of the food was salvageable, though over the next couple of days we'll be eating a diet of those items that had just started to defrost.
