Snow day!

Thursday night we were sent out a text from college saying that it will be closed to staff and students due to the snow. This is all very exciting getting a day off work, but the strange thing was, there was absolutely no snow around whatsoever! Misinformed? Preemptive? Perhaps. Time would tell on Friday morning.

I got up at 7am and checked outside first of all! Nothing! Went back to bed for a cheeky lie in and got up at 9am and was seriously shocked! It looked as if a good foot of snow was on the floor in the space of 2 hours!

Arranged with one of my lovely girly friends to meet at the local park where she is getting married this year and go for a walk! We were probably the first people to arrive at South Hill Park in the morning and it looked like something from Narnia. It was so enchanting, dreamlike, the snow was completely virgin white and we were the first ones to walk across it. I was lost in my element shooting the landscape around us and enjoying the crunch of snow under foot.
