Midday sun

We were intending going hillwalking but didn't like the forecast, particularly for the potentially icy roads getting there (previous trips on that road in subzero temps revealed poor gritting and cars in fields/hedges), so instead I did parkrun and Mr Rat helped out. It was snowy underfoot, and from ablve, but mostly not bad to run on if care was taken with the normally muddy bits.
After hot chocolate in the cafe we headed for the Sidlaws and had 3+ hours snowshoeing, quite windy with snow most of the time.
This view was taken early on, shortly after noon, and that was all the sun we saw from then on!
Now have aching legs so will have a lazy evening
