Leaving Inverie
Though others will have reported much rougher, this was the choppiest trip home from Inverie I have experienced.
These remote site trips are stressful. They call for immaculate preparation in terms of data and equipment (everything you need for the survey needs carried on to the boat on foot, you can't nip back to the pickup for a nail, hammer or spare battery), coordination with folk on the other side and of course getting the job done in time to catch the ferry. home
It was a horrible day on site with constant very fine misty rain in the breeze, not cold but the soaking left you feeling chilled to the marrow.
Shortly after taking this photo you couldn't really stand comfortably without haning on to a rail.
I must come back with Mrs SJR just for fun. Despite cursing the weather today this is a very special and remote Highland Village.
