Scars

Paperwork called today so my only escape from the office was a rather grey lunchtime loop through one of the local parks.

Rather intrigued by this (large) scar on one of the trees - the tree doesn't seem to have suffered from having this big chunk of bark removed, it's certainly not a recent injury.
