Baby Grace
Today I finally got to meet Grace, my friend Tannie's baby who's just 8 weeks old - Tannie is Malaysian and her husband Keith is Hong Kong Chinese, so Grace has a Chinese name too but I don't know how to spell that. She's a very placid little girl and was quite happy in her moses basket, but she only smiled after I'd put the camera away :-) I'm going to do a family photo shoot for them in the Spring when Tannie and Keith aren't feeling so sleep deprived! Tannie made me a lovely lunch of rice noodles, chicken, courgette and a spicy sauce and it was nice to spend a few hours with them.
When I got home I took the boys for a walk and then I did my physio exercises - I'm still struggling with back ache and stiffness in my shoulder, so when I had my physio session yesterday Judit really worked on my infraspinatus muscle which said was incredibly tight. She said she tried to get hold of the shoulder blade which normally you can do, but she couldn't so it appears that this could be what's causing the problem. She did a bit of acupuncture which was quite painful, but she's hopeful that it might help release the muscle, and she's given me some other exercises to do.
Anyway, I'm now off to Kate's friend Jacqui's to have my nails done - it's my birthday next week and tomorrow I have my first birthday celebration at The Ivy and I'm pleased that I've achieved my 'no drink rule' which I set myself until tomorrow.
