Giving up

I don't often give up but this puzzle has beaten me. I've been puzzling over it for months and I am admitting defeat. I cannot work out how these last bits fit together no matter how many times I take them all out and try again. 
Apart from the puzzle a nice easy day off just pottering, clearing and tidying. Feeling the urge for a bit of spring cleaning coming on.
