Baskets And Bunnies

Today I have been been cutting out dozens of fabric shapes (baskets and bunnies) that will go into quilting project kits ready for Mrs madwill’s TV show on Tuesday.

There will be two pieces of each in the kit along with background fabric and wadding. These shapes are backed with fusible webbing - so that they can be stuck (by heating) to the fabric and then sewn down to make an appliqué design.

I now have enough shapes and fabric to start putting the kits together. That will be my task for Friday and Saturday!

I also spent a while cutting up a large piece (4 sq m) of 12mm thick felt into 13” squares (30 of them). Not an easy task as it takes some effort to push the cutter through the felt. These squares will become ‘pressing mats’, again for sale through the TV show.
