Nice lighthearted blip from yesterday’s visit to the SNPG .
Love the detail of this giant of a painting by an unknown Dutch artist, probably based on eye witness accounts. Very little is know who the picture was painted for. Up close and looking you’d almost think you were in the crowd. The detail is amazing if a bit gory.
