Heading South

I shifted hotels for breakfast and enjoyed a “full English” with Billy at the York Hilton before dropping him at York station for the start of his journey home to Belfast.

I refuelled the car and headed home myself, starting out at 09:00am I arrived into Truro a little before 5:00pm, a four hundred mile, eight hour trip that included an hours stop at the midway point.

(I love my little sixteen year old VW Polo, a 1.2, three cylinder petrol driven model of German engineering. It runs without missing a beat and is reliable)

(Let’s not hope that such praise is not the “kiss of death”)

I dropped a coffee and pastry into Clare at work before arriving home at 6:00pm.
A sandwich and more coffee brought a long and tiring forty-eight hours to an end.
