The second dress!!

Apologies again....this was taken on Monday.

R is wearing the maternity dress that I wore when I was pregnant with her. It was my ‘Christmas do’s’ dress, so it was made with sufficient room for growth!!! She was born in January, so I was big by this time!!!! It has never been worn since she was born and she didn’t remember ever seeing it.

The two dresses have been stored in an orange Mothercare plastic bag for 40 plus years. It is in perfect condition, no deterioration over the years, a bad point from an environmental point of view. Ironic that Mothercare closed it’s doors for the final time earlier in the month. The dresses and bag will go back in the drawer for the foreseeable future !!!

Whilst B was at U3A maths this afternoon, I worked on a technique demonstration for a quilting group next month. We look to share skills in small groups two or three times a year. It the first time that I’ve been asked to do one, so I’m getting prepared. Just need to do a ‘hand out’.
