Open fire

It's great to coorie down with an open fire on a cold, snowy winters evening. I love the smell, sound, sight and heat that come with an open fire.
No doubt the heat part will be reduced when my middle son arrives home and planks himself right in front of it as is his wont. He loves heating he doesn't have to pay for !
The snow has been very bitty up here, with green fields between here and the city but a good few inches of snow 5-10 miles inland.
All the forecasters have different ideas of whats going to happen with snow in the next few days. The only time they seem to get it right for here is when the weather comes from the north down.
