Conditions Need Not Apply

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Big news! Today we WENT UNCONDITIONAL on the house offer!

In other words, all the pieces have fallen into place. We have the housing reports, the valuations, the insurance and the bank loan. We are ready to slap our money on the counter and say, "We'll take it!"

And the good news keeps coming. The valuation came in at MORE than we are paying! This is pretty-much unheard-of in Wellington where prices are outpacing actual value due to demand. AND a house around the corner (which has a 2nd bathroom but otherwise looks not as nice as ours) just went for $600k!

Have we got financially lucky for once? Surely not.

I'll bet our house in New Zealand has somehow managed to be built on top of a Native American burial ground. It is, isn't it? Bet you it is.

So THAT was exciting. The other thing that was exciting was that Episode 2 of the podcast got published this evening. It's the first proper episode and it turned out not too bad. Don't get me wrong. It still sounds amateurish and crappy, but I feel like I know what I'm doing now.

Caro has been encouraging me to "create a presence" on social media to promote myself. So I've been Instagramming and Tweeting. To be honest, I much MUCH prefer to blip because I like to yak and 280 characters is just not enough.
