New night life in Farnborough

The Aviator hotel, owned by TAG, opened on the edge of the air field in Farnborough a few months ago. It is very swanky. Lewis Hamilton had some party there, but then again he is sponsored by TAG I think, so he would wouldn't he. This evening I went there with a couple of friends for a cocktail. The architecture inside is quite impressive and it is fairly sophisticated and arty. This blip was taken through the fire place between the bar and the seating area on the first floor landing. A few weeks ago I was just up the road from the Aviator fiddling around blipping and some guy came up to me and asked me to take a picture of him, he was, I think, from South America and was in Farnborough doing some training. He was draped in designer gear and staying at the Aviator, he asked me if I knew of any places to go out in the evening and I had no recommendations. He was staying at the only place that you could recommend. It felt really odd not having any recommendations! I'm still getting used to living outside of London. Anyway unlike him I have friends here so it doesn't really bother me that there are no great places to hang out in. I can hang out in friends living rooms, kitchens and gardens.
