Golden Hour
After yesterday's interminable fogs it was lovely to wake up today to bright sunshine. On our afternoon walk around the village the roads were still icy in places, and it required caution in the back lanes where behind the high hedges the ground doesn't see the Sun.
On the other hand, as we breasted the Huntingford rise we were meet by a wonderful golden hour, casting amber across the trees and throwing their branches into stark contract. A delight!
Thank you for your comments regarding yesterday's Blip, by the way. I think you're probably right; the crane shot was the better picture. Still, the lightship wasn't all bad neither. It's not often (happily) we get a heavy fog like that and it was fun to capture the feel if not the cold of it.
