Cormorant at sunset

If you look carefully, there is what I believe to be a cormorant flying above the trees at Forest Mere. There is also a coot and some kind of diving duck on the lake. I'm glad to have caught a sunset having missed yesterday's beautiful sunrise (so I heard) and the sliver of crescent moon this morning. The latter was Polly's fault for asking to go outside at 4.40 am, causing me to wake up again later than planned. Still, if she hadn't, I'd have missed all the stars that were so clearly visible at that unearthly hour.
