Finally …

I took a tip-run with a fine collection of dead electricals.  As you leave a sign asks/tells us to turn left; the shortest way home is the way I came, achieved by turning right, which I did.
50-100 yds on I got an urge to turn around and do as I was bid; having heard there were now obvious changes.

It used to look like this about seven years. Unfortunately, I so seldom pass it I totally missed all the changes.
Did my usual trick and tried Googlemaps to pinpoint it more exactly; they haven't even got the 2013 version in shot yet.
