Frosty morning

Had to scrape ice off the car this morning before setting off for work but it was worth it. The cold air does something to the morning light that is quite beautiful.

Well today is my 55th birthday. What a journey life has taken me on. An interesting childhood (euphemism intended), married and divorced by 30, a successful career, a breakdown and a return to where it all started 55 years ago!
There are times where I really would just like a bit of peace, a gentle rolling through life, contentment maybe. But I realise that life is rarely like that and so instead I roll with the punches and take the happiness and peace where I can find it.
As I said in my blip the other day, I have amazing family and friends who have helped me a long the way. Who have picked me up when the bounce had gone out of my ‘bounce back’ and who surround me with love. From love comes peace, sometimes you just have to stand and look for it.

Each day is a new day, a new chapter and a chance to count my blessings. I have many!
