in downtown Auckland. Walked past the wharves on my way to catch the bus home. Main roads and footpaths closed due to major work. free bus, train and ferry rides for the day on the last week of the school holidays and two big passenger liners visiting for the day. Thankfully it was a glorious summer’s day. Appropriately the Queen Elizabeth was tied up at Queen’s Wharf
