After The Storm

I awoke to the sound of ferocious winds, and out of the window I could see - or rather I couldn't see - very much at all.

The ocean was there for a moment and then was quickly swallowed up by a great dark mass moving ominously closer.

Suddenly the rain hit. Like I have not seen since one day in Raratonga. Great sheets, slashing against the window and falling from the terrace above like a waterfall.

Thunder rumbled all around and water began to come in under the front door!

After a short while, maybe half an hour or so, the rain stopped, the sun came out and it is almost business as usual. The wind is still strong, but abating gradually.

I went down to Bombo Beach on my way to Mum's and shot some waves. Not quite Atlantic rollers, but pretty wild for round here.

I expect some surfer dudes will be out soon making the most of it.

I gather the sun is out in some UK parts. Enjoy the snow as best you can.
